Jon DiMaggio is the founder and principal researcher of Arkem Cyber, a boutique cybercrime intelligence advisory firm. He is a cybercrime intelligence analyst, author, and speaker whose published research examines how ransomware and extortion groups operate and the criminal economy that sustains them.
His work has been featured on CBS 60 Minutes, National Geographic's Trafficked, ABC Australia's Four Corners, and at major security conferences including DEF CON, RSA Conference, Black Hat, and SANS. He is the author of The Art of Cyberwarfare (No Starch Press) and creator of the Ransomware Diaries research series. A two-time SANS Difference Makers Award recipient.
